Bettie T. Dunkelberger Dundee: Bettie T. Dunkelberger, age 89, formerly of Dundee, passed away on Monday March 20, 2017 at the Huntington Living Center, in Waterloo, NY. Calling hours will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday (Mar. 26) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday (Mar. 27) with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating. Burial will follow in Lakemont Cemetery, Lakemont, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Rochester Chapter, 435 East Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620; or to the Lakemont Congregational Christian Church, P.O. Box 19, Lakemont-Himrod Rd, Lakemont, NY 14857. Bettie was born August 24, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA, one of 4 daughters of Clifton and Charlotte Harding Tillinghast. She married the late Jay C. Wertz on January 19, 1945 in Hagerstown, Maryland; he passed away accidently on Dec. 21 1946. Bettie got remarried on Oct. 23, 1949 in New Columbia, PA to Charles R. Dunkelberger; he passed away on Oct. 16, 2005. Mrs. Dunkelberger retired from Corning Glass Works, in Corning, NY as a Production Scheduler in 1984. A devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Dunkelberger was a former member of the Dundee Presbyterian Church, had attended the Lakemont Congregational Church, was a former member of the Dundee American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Dundee Home Bureau; and was very instrumental volunteering the help form the Seneca-Keuka Credit Union, now known as Serv-U Credit Union. She is survived by 4 daughters Nancy J. (Robert) Brancato of Kenmore, NY, Marsha D. Wertz of Tampa, FL, Barbara J. Katz of Webster, NY, Yvonne E. (Leonard) Jordan Jr. of Aurora, NY; her only son Thomas W. (Leslie) Dunkelberger of Dundee; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; a sister Patricia Billirakis of Dundee; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husbands she was pre-deceased by a brother Donald Tillinghast in 1997, a sister Mary Lou Musser in 2003, a sister Jean Kreps in 2008, and a son-in-law Richard Katz in 2012.
