Rolland James 'Corky' Shaver Dundee: Rolland James 'Corky' Shaver, age 80, of Dundee, NY died unexpectedly on Thursday March 2, 2023 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, in Penn Yan, NY. Honoring his wishes there will be no prior calling hours. A Celebration of His Life will be held at the convenience of the family in the summer. 'Corky' was born December 23, 1942 in Endicott, NY, one of 4 sons of the late Kenneth and Beatrice (Saddlemire) Shaver. On June 11, 1993 in Lake George, NY he married the former Carolyn S. Halstead. They have lived locally for 30 years; he previously lived in Vestal, NY. He was employed by Penn Yan Aero for many years, before becoming a Maintenance Man for Arkport Cycle, Arkport, NY. His greatest passion in life was Motorcycles, and would have ridden them year round if it was safe. He is loved and will be forever missed by his wife Carolyn S. Shaver at home; a daughter Karen Shaver of Binghamton, NY; 2 sisters Bessie (David) Bogart also of Binghamton, and Judy (Bernie) Tokar of North Carolina; a sister in law Donna Shaver of Little Meadows, PA; along with several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by a son Timothy Shaver, 3 brothers, Louie, Kenny, and Bernie Shaver; and two sisters Shirley Shook, and Donna Manzer.
