Pauline ''Rita'' Cornish Dundee: Pauline ''Rita'' Cornish, age 79, of Dundee, NY died Wednesday January 15, 2014 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility, in Montour Falls, NY. Friends may call from 12 noon - 2:00 pm. Saturday (Jan. 18) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where a Catholic funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm. with Deacon Tom Ruda, and Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to ProAction, Office for the Aging, 417 Liberty St. Suite 1116, Penn Yan, NY. 14527 Pauline was born December 29, 1934 in Sanford, Maine, the daughter of Edgar and Marie Jean Dumas Roussin. On May 28, 1960 in she married the late William Lee Cornish; who passed away on January 21, 1986. "Rita" as she was known by her friends, was a housewife all her life; having also enjoyed her time spent as a home health aid when she was younger. Mrs. Cornish was a member of the former St. Andrews Catholic Church in Dundee, and was a former member of the Dundee P.T.A., Home Bureau, and the Red Hat Society. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her six children Shirley (Doug) Hammond, Joan M. (Steve) Washburn both of Dundee, Gloria Squires of Corning, twins Cindy (Rocky) Garofalo of Syracuse, and John (Sue) Cornish of Dundee, and Richard (Marybeth) Cornish of Lima, NY; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, and her husband, she was predeceased by her step father William Wile who raised and loved her as his own daughter.
