William F. Steckert Sr.
Weston: William F. Steckert Sr., age 77, of Weston, NY died Wednesday June 25, 2014 in the comfort of his home.
Honoring his wishes there are no prior calling hours, and services will be private at the convenience of his family.

William was born October 6, 1936 in Newark, New Jersey, the son of the late Eugene Edward and Elizabeth C. Burkhardt Steckert. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1957. On April 18, 1970 in Bayville, NJ he married the former Anna Marie Moeller. He loved driving 18 wheelers for Jersey June Egg Co. of Lakewood, NJ, until moving to western N.Y. in 1977. Mr. Steckert was a member of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, in Bradford, NY; the Wayne American Legion Meade-Price Post 1208, and was a former Boy Scout Leader.
He is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife of 44 years Anna Marie Steckert at home; a son William F. Steckert Jr. of American Samoa, 2 daughters Heidi Ann Button-Steckert of Campbell, NY, and Ingrid Marie (Leo) Hartsook of Virginia; 6 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
