Obituary of Jeff G. Brown Jr.

Jeff G. Brown Jr. Capt. U.S. Army Ret. Dundee: Jeff G. Brown Jr., age 87, of Dundee, NY passed away on Tuesday December 23, 2014 in the comfort of his bedroom with his family at his side. There are no prior calling hours. A memorial service followed by Military Honors will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday (Dec. 30) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee, with Pastor Dale Eby officiating. Inurnment will be in England, at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675. Mr. Brown was born March 1, 1927 in Scotland Neck, North Carolina, the son of the late Jeff Gray and Pearl Dixson Brown Sr. He was inducted into the U.S. Army in June of 1945. On February 22, 1958 in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England he married the former Dawn Henderson. Together they moved around the world as his 20 year Military career required of him; including German, England. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain in August of 1965. His second career was that of a Safety Engineer and Consultant, employed by Aetna Life & Casualty, of New Orleans, LA. Mr. Brown was a member of the NRA. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife of 56 years Dawn Henderson-Brown, and their daughter Lydia Gray Brown both at home. He was pre-deceased by a son Guy Robert Henderson-Brown in 1984.
