Ralph was a professor of mine at Morrisville College 1970-1972 in Agricultural Engineering. I had Ralph for refrigeration, tractor power trains, and electricity. The knowledge that I received from Ralph has been used my entire life. Some of his pet expressions come to mind even 40 years later. He was a great teacher and always was very enjoyable to learn from. I will never forget the time another teacher would park in front of his tractor lab door and lock his car up, blocking entry. Ralph would take a floor jack and place the car in the middle of the parking lot. I remember one time Ralph's car was moved by this same teacher into the parking lot. The story was that Ralph had some words with this certain teacher and needless to say the battle ended there, and his door was never blocked again. It was hard to fool Ralph. After college I visited with Ralph quite often as he and my dad, Bill Niles played golf together on a weekly basis after they both retired. It was a plrasure to attend his 90th. birthday and see so many of his former students. I also would stop and visit if I saw him in his yard in Dundee tending his yard. Ralph will be missed but never forgotten.

Uncle Ralph, I don’t even know where to start. You have given me so much love and so many memories throughout my life. There are not a lot of people out there that are like you; generous, giving, loving and caring are just a few words to describe the kind of person you are to everyone who was blessed to know you. You are a hero to many, including myself. You have impacted so many people’s lives and I can’t imagine what my life would have been like without you as a part of it. You constantly put everyone’s needs before your own and there are not enough thank you’s in the world that could be said to show you how much we appreciate everything you’ve done for us. I will never forget all of the memories we’ve made at the lake, you made every trip so special to me. I can’t put into words how much I miss you already and how much I love you. I wish I could give you a hug because you always gave the best hugs. You are constantly in my thoughts and always in my prayers. You’ve been like a second grandfather to me all of my life and you will always have a very special place in my heart

I had Mr Whitehead for Tractor Lab and Basic Electrictiy at Morrisville College 1970 to 1973 . His Knowledege and dedication to helping his students to understand the lessons and be able to apply them to everyday life and his willingness to do extra to help his students be sucessful makes his passing so difficult . My thoughts and Prayers go out to his Family and Friends and to his many students from Morrisville College . Rest in Peace Professor , till we meet again , AMEN .
