Obituary of Jane L. Todd

Jane L. Todd Dundee: Jane L. Todd, age 85, of Dundee, NY passed away peacefully with her sons by her bedside on Sunday October 9, 2016 in the comfort of the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home, Penn Yan, N.Y. Friends are invited to calling hours from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 13) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where her funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating. The family graciously requests memorial contributions be sent to the Manor Crest Foundation, 411 Clinton St., Penn Yan, N.Y. 14527. Jane was born Jane Louise Perry in Syracuse, NY on May 14, 1931, the only child of Lawrence and Edna Alexander Perry. She married father of children William I. Todd Sr.; he passed away on March 13, 1988. A loving wonderful mother who was dedicated to her family; she will be remembered for her baking and canning skills. Her pies and chocolate chip cookies were the best. Her canned green tomato mince meat and chili sauce just as good; Jane enjoyed reading whenever she could find the time. She is dearly loved and will always be missed by her four devoted sons Daniel J. (Gwen) Todd of Piedmont, Alabama, William I. "Billy" Todd Jr. with whom she made her home, Donald S. (Rosie A. Moore) Todd of Groton, NY, and her youngest and most likely favorite Michael C. "Mikey" Todd also at home; she also leaves 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Besides her parents Jane is reunited by death with 2 children, daughter Caroline Davis who died in 1953, and son David Todd in 1955.
