Obituary of Isabella M. Mellin

Isabella M. Mellin Dundee: Isabella M. Mellin, age 64, of Dundee, NY died Saturday April 15, 2017 at Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, N.Y.. There were no prior calling hours. A graveside service was held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday (April 18) in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee with Rev. Marilyn Wood officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, 12 Union St., or the Dundee Scottish Festival P.O. Box 46 Dundee, NY 14837. Isabella was born January 26, 1953 in Nyack, NY, the daughter of the late Kenneth Charles and Isabella Livingston (Cuthburt) Mellin. She was raised attending the Grace Conservative Baptist Church, and graduated from Nanuet High in 1971. Isabella was a retired toll collector for the NYS Thruway Authority, having worked at various locations throughout NY, retiring after 17 years of dedicated service in 2008. She has lived locally since 2012, previously of Syracuse and Nanuet, NY. Mrs. Mellin was a devoted Christian, who attended many churches throughout her life, where ever she lived. She was a member of the Teamsters Union, enjoyed bowling in her younger years, was very proud of her Scottish heritage, and was a dedicated life long New York Yankee, and Green Bay Packer fan. She is loved and will be forever missed by her only son William K. "Will" (Holly) White II of Dundee, NY; 5 grandchildren Marilynn M. Gettys of Clay, NY, Claudia J. Barletta of Baldwinsville, NY, Isabella M. White and William J. White both of Bath, NY, Victoria J. White of Dundee, NY; a sister Catherine G. Clink of Lexington, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by a brother Kenneth Raymond Mellin; and an infant granddaughter Angel Marie Goff-White who passed away in 2000.
