Obituary of Carol S. Cadwell

~~Dundee:  Carol S. Cadwell, age 82, of Dundee, died Thursday July 13, 2017 at the Homestead in Penn Yan, N.Y.
Honoring her wishes there are no prior calling hours.  Family and friends are invited to her memorial services at 6:00 pm, Thursday August 17, 2017 at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water St., Dundee with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating.  Inurnment will be in Hillside Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Yates County, P.O. Box 12, Penn Yan, N.Y. 14527; or to the Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, 12 Union St., Dundee, N.Y. 14837.
Carol was born July 6, 1935 in Penn Yan, N.Y., the daughter of the late Karl Semans and Louise Wortman Semans.  A devoted and dedicated employee to Dundee Central School, Carol retired October 3, 2003, with 36 years of service, first as a teacher’s aide, then as the secretary to the elementary principal. Prior to this she had been employed as a secretary for Yates County Home Bureau.  In her spare time Carol loved to read and Friday night dinners at the Crossing Diner, she volunteered at the Dundee Food Pantry and local blood banks.  Her greatest love was the love for her family, both two and four legged, she gave unconditionally and made their lives so much richer.
She is very loved and will be sadly missed by her daughter Amy L. Francione of Dundee; 2 grandchildren Ryan Cadwell of Dundee, Brianna (Chad) McCabe of Zanesville, OH; great granddaughter Norah McCabe also of Zanesville, OH; cousin John (Joan) Wortman of Oshkosh, WI: 2 sister-in-laws Sylvia Cadwell and Jane Cadwell; wonderful friends Karla and Warren Smith, Linda Case; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Carol was pre-deceased by the father of her children Leo F. Cadwell Jr. on Feb. 15, 2009 and her son Barry K. Cadwell on January 23, 2014
