My condolences to the Extended Fultz Family and the his fellow Buckeye Alumni
I am contractor who occasionally got a construction project from Buckeye in NJ, NY or PA. I think I met Jerry Fultz socially at Linden Terminal circa 1970s. He was starting his own project and we were working on another project for another PM. Over the years, Jerry moved up organizationally and became the 'Construction Manager'. Jerry was a good steward of the Buckeye dollars but also had a second personality too. We were working thru Thanksgiving or Christmas on a job then Jerry gave his Field Inspectors 'time off' to visit their families during the holidays. Jerry, as a bachelor, came down on several occasions to give his folks 'time off' and covered for them. Beyond construction, we often spoke about the Army and Navy in Vietnam, his annual visits to the Daytona NASCAR Race Track. Somewhere along the way, Jerry always had some surplus Buckeye Raffle Tickets to sell, not many but always 1-2-3. I will always remember him and I have respected his desire to get a great job for Buckeye. He knew 'when too demand excellence' but also in later years, Jerry came to understand the 'maze of pipes' under Linden Terminal too. After I got to know Jerry better, he turned out to be a 'good guy' (naturally his way) but I will honor and respect his commitment to Buckeye. Jerry always did his job very well. Rest in Peace, my Vietnam Brother.
