Obituary of Shylo Rae Zirkle

Shylo Rae Zirkle Penn Yan: Shylo Rae Zirkle, age 20, of Penn Yan, NY died unexpectedly on Saturday September 16, 2017 at home. There are no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday (Sept. 30) at the Penn Yan United Methodist Church, Corner of Main & Chapel St., with Rev. Jeff Childs officiating. Shylo was born May 27, 1997 in Medina, North Carolina, the daughter of Ronald M. Zirkle and Wendy R. Harper. She has lived locally since 2009, previously of Brunswick Ohio. A former summer employee of the Esperanza, she enjoyed swimming, and spoiling her dear nephews, Tim Jr. & Benny whom she absolutely adored. She is loved and will be dearly missed forever by her mother Wendy R. (Ron McQuaid) Christensen with whom she made her home; her father Ronald M. Zirkle of Rock Hill, SC; 2 sisters Jessica (Josh) Zirkle Barnes of Statesville, NC, and Katlyn N. (Tim) Simonsen of Penn Yan; 3 nephew Tim Jr. & Benjamin Simonsen, Mason Barnes; 2 nieces Riley & Madilynn Barnes; maternal grandfather Gary (Wendy) Harper of Tennessee; maternal grandmother Mary (Bob Coon) Whipkey of Prattsburg, NY; paternal grandfather Ronald (Bonnie) Zirkle Sr. of Myrtle Beach, SC; maternal great grandparents Jake & Laura Whipkey of Dundee, NY; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
