Thomas Clinton ''Tom'' Phillips
Dundee: Thomas Clinton ''Tom'' Phillips, age 78, of Dundee, NY formerly of Penfield, died on Father's Day Sunday June 16, 2019 at Keuka Comfort Care Home, in Penn Yan, NY.
The family will receive friends from 5:30- 7:00 p.m. Friday (June 21) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee, NY; where a Celebration of His Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Joe Butler officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Keuka Comfort Care Home, P.O. Box, 107, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
Tom was born January 23, 1941 in Rochester, NY, the son of the late Clinton and Mildred {Hendel} Phillips. After graduating High School he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was employed for 40 years by High Speed Hammer in Rochester before becoming a sales rep for On Line Control Systems, of Newark, NY; finally retiring in 2012.
Mr. Phillips was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word. An avid sportsman, he belonged to the Irondequoit Fish & Game Club, the Penfield Gun Club, the NRA, and was a Lifetime NYS Hunting License holder.
He is dearly loved and will be forever missed by 2 sons, Thomas John (Gail Smith) Phillips of Webster, NY, James B. (Judy) Phillips of Dundee, NY; 2 daughters Linda F. (Bart) Selby of Walworth, NY, Lisa M. (Larry Kyle) Phillips of Martville, NY; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; the mother of his children Carol Mattice of Wolcott, NY; a brother John (Holly) Phillips of Pulteney, NY; a sister Carol Kryger of Churchville, NY; along with several nieces, nephews, and "Tons of Friends".
He was pre-deceased by a sister Marilyn McAllister, and his Best Friend Bud Rudolph.
