Obituary of Lloyd Russell Rider Jr.

Lloyd Russell Rider Jr. Penn Yan: Lloyd Russell Rider Jr., age 62, of Penn Yan, NY died Tuesday November 12, 2019 at The Homestead, in Penn Yan. Honoring his wishes there will be no sad calling hours. He wanted friends to celebrate his life from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday Nov. 23 at the Dundee V.F.W. on Seneca St. Extension in Dundee, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the donor's local Fire Department. Lloyd was born June 3, 1957 in Penn Yan, NY, the son of the late Lloyd Russell Rider Sr. and Virginia {Mikloczak} Rider. He graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1976. He was a former employee of Coach & Equipment, in Penn Yan, NY specializing in the electrical wiring of the Buses he helped build. Mr. Rider was a former member of the Himrod Fire Dept. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, loved working on cars, and enjoyed going fishing. He is survived by his only biological daughter Tasha C. Lindsay and her 3 sons Brandon, Hunter, and Russell all of Elmira, NY, his step children he loved as his own daughters Natalie Rider of Missouri, Jessica Rider of Victor, NY, sons Mitch (Sarah) Johnson of Great Bend, PA, Tad Johnson of Binghamton, NY; paternal brothers Wesley Rider of Georgia, Patrick Rider, maternal brothers Dale Cole, and Gary Cole all of Texas; his sisters Debra Phillips of Alabama, Rudy (Jan) Rider of Florida, Trudy Stone of Texas, and Joy Ayers of Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by a stepson Steven Johnson, and brothers James Rider & Earl Cole. Arrangements were entrusted to the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee, NY.
