Obituary of Lisa Marie Sandford

Lisa Marie Sandford Penn Yan/Beacon NY: Lisa Marie Sandford, age 57, of Penn Yan, formerly of Beacon, NY died Saturday November 23, 2019 at Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester, N.Y. Honoring her wishes there will be no prior calling hours. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at the convenience of the family in Beacon, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 3 International Dr. Suite 200, Rye Brook, N.Y. 10573. Lisa was born Feb. 23, 1962 in Beacon, NY, the daughter of the late William Zeyak and Helen {Komornik} Zeyak. She graduated from Beacon High School in 1981. On April 28, 1984 in Beacon, NY she married James E. Sandford Jr. They have lived locally for ten years previously of Beacon NY where she had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for various health care facilities in Dutchess County. Locally she had been employed as a Residential Support Specialist for Catholic Charities in Penn Yan; and more recently as a clerk by Byrne Dairy in Penn Yan. Mrs. Sandford was a former volunteer for Beacon Boy Scouts, and Beacon Engine Co. Ladies Aux.; in her spare time she enjoyed reading, and collecting anything with White Tigers. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her husband of 35 years James E. Sandford Jr. at home; 2 sons James E. Sandford III of West Virginia, and Edward Matthew Sandford of Catskill, NY; 3 grandchildren James E. Sandford IV, Elias Sandford, and Eden Sandford; her mother Helen Zeyak of Beacon, NY; a brother Brian (Miki) Zeyak of Cary, NC; and several nieces & nephews.
