I am sorry to hear about Eleanor's passing. Every Christmas our church, Crystal Valley would come sing Christmas carols and bring her a fruit basket. She always had a smile and expressed her deep love for the Lord. We missed her this year and didn't know what happened to her. You had a precious Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend.

I am one of Eleanor's Great nieces, my name is Becky. I never had the privilege of living in New York with her, as I lived in Ohio until the age of 16, and after that, up until now I live in Fl. That didn't stop Great Aunt Eleanor from being a huge influence in my life. I always wanted to be like her. She faced so many losses, and adversity in life, but kept Jesus her #1, and also kept that smile on her face. The last time I spoke with her, she told me to ALWAYS keep Jesus #1 in my life...I admired her so much, and I have also faced tremendous adversity and tragedy in my life. I have not faced it as well as she did, but am trying to follow her advice to keep Jesus #1, and in the end, all of the troubles won't even be remembered as I look into the eyes of my Savior, as she is now... whole, happy, reunited with loved ones who have gone before, and finally at peace with the Lord. I love you Great Aunt Eleanor, and tell Grandma Hi for me.

Christmas eve was never the same anywhere else but "the Lake" with Aunt Eleanor and Uncle Ray. Us Kid's in the playroom while the adults waited for Santa...
Followed by seemingly endless Summers learning some of the deepest secrets of my youth... (not to mention my first motorcycle ride... much to Aunt Eleanor's frustration as I recall ;-).
Lord, please let Eleanor and Ray dance together once again... Let their Joy in you be complete... and let the Love that they shared with so many of us - return back to them as she joins him and they enter into your rest

Eleanor was a great wife, mother, and grandmother! My Mom & Dad (cousins) were close to Ray & Eleanor I enjoyed spending time at her (homes) , when we visited them & I stayed with Sharon for a few days., especially when they & Uncle Albert & Aunt Dorothy lived at the lake! Eleanor always made me feel at home. She always had a smile on her and enjoyed life! She will be sadly missed! Our thoughts & prayers are with the family during this difficult time!!
