I’m sorry that I hadn’t visited you more and finding out you passed away almost 5 months later just really sucks. I’m very happy that your in Heaven now and you can see Grandma Julia and my Mom. I’m so glad you got to meet the reins a couple years ago and I’m glad I got to see you! I will always remember you for your great sense of humor! I will always have the memories from when I got to stay with you in Dundee as a kid. I love you!

Aunt Edna you were the greatest neighbor we could have ever asked for. We called you Aunt, but you were so much more to the Sterankos. You were our family. You were there for every one of our birthdays, holidays. You would cook us big dinners. Took me for my driver's permit, we would come over every Saturday night to watch Love Boat and Fantasy Island and eat banana splits! You would build snow forts and go sledding with us. Remember you rubbing down the metal saucer sled with wax paper, so we could go faster. Thankfully we all survived!! The quilt that you lovingly made for my high school graduation (that I cherish), coming to Colorado for my bridal shower, always sending holiday and birthday cards to Tyler......there is so much more I could say, but most of all I love you and thank you for being more than just our Starkey neighbor. Spread your wings Aunt Edna and fly high. Until we meet again......Lots of love, Sonia

So many memories to share. The one that is most prominent is when I was a bean sprout living next door. Every Saturday night my sister, Sonia, and I would go over in our pj's. Aunt Edna would make us banana splits and we'd curl up and watch "The Love Boat." I could never make it through Fantasy Island, I would fall asleep. Aunt Edna never minded. She always carried me home to bed with love. That is Aunt Edna. Fun, kind, caring and loving. Later in life, she became one of my best friend's! Be at peace.
