Obituary of Corey L. Miller

Corey L. Miller Dundee: Corey L. Miller, age 59, of Dundee, NY gave up the fight in the comfort of his home on Saturday April 3, 2021 surrounded by his family. Honoring his wishes there will be no calling hours or public service. Memorial contributions may be sent to Hope Walk of Yates County 467 N. Main St. Penn Yan, NY 14527. Corey was born July 24, 1961 in Penn Yan, NY, the son of the late Jack V. and Marjorie C. (Corey) Miller. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1979. On June 25, 1983 in the Dundee Methodist Church he married the former Joyce E. Howell. A lifelong area resident, he lived in North Carolina from 1983-1984. Corey had worked in construction and property maintenance for 40 years, before accepting a position with the U.S. Postal Service as a rural route carrier for 10 years employed by the Penn Yan Post Office, retiring due to his health in December of 2020. A former Dundee Fireman, and a member of the Dundee Fireman Benevolent Assoc.; Corey loved the great outdoors, fishing, golf, and hunting, especially bow hunting. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife of 37 years, Joyce E. Miller at home; 2 sons Adam T. (Emilee) Miller of Dundee, Devon J. Miller of Buffalo, NY; a daughter Laura L. Miller also of Dundee; 2 grandchildren, Sophia Jean Miller, and Samuel James Scofield; siblings Timothy J. (Kelly) Miller of Watkins Glen, Teresa K. (Larry) Howell of Dundee, Tracey S. (Patti) Miller of Dundee, Susan M. (Ron) Pulver of Farmington, NY; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, outlaws and countless friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Terry M. Miller in 2011.
