My condolences to Smitty's friends and family. I can't believe that he was 77-years old. I pumped gas and detailed cars for him when he first opened the Arco Station; my senior year of highshool (1979). I remember meeting with him at Trombleys for an interview just before he took the station over. He had a game plan all layed out and explained exactly what he was going to do to make his station stand out from the rest. He was a sharp businessman and great guy to work for. Some fond memories for sure!

Richard Smith, "Smitty", will be remembered as a very generous, considerate man. He was always ready to help out in any way he could. He loved his family and Sandy. He was there for me on several occasions. I will miss him. There is a new bright shining star in our heavens. God bless him. Deepest sympathy to Sandy and Smitty's family.
