Obituary of Caroline Leigh Donelson

Caroline Leigh Donelson Bath: Caroline Leigh Donelson, age 59, of Bath, NY passed away on Thursday August 5, 2021 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NY. Honoring her wishes there are no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday August 12, 2021 at the Barrington Community Church, 4560 Old Bath Rd. Dundee, NY. Entombment will be in Bath National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite Humane Society or S.P.C.A.. Caroline was born March 29, 1962 in Hornell, NY, the daughter of Harold R. and Helen L. (Pearl) Donelson Sr. She graduated from Hammondsport High School in 1980. She immediately joined the U.S. Army, serving four years active duty, one of which was in Germany. After two more years in Reserves Caroline received an Honorable Discharge in 1986. She was employed by Mercury Aircraft, in Bath, NY for 17 years, retiring in 2016. Caroline was born, raised, and worked in N.Y., but "Her Heart was in Texas." She loved the outdoors; playing games with family; but her passion was going on cruises. Ms. Donelson was a member of the Adrian Baptist Church in Adrian, N.Y.. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her parents Harold R. and Helen L. Donelson Sr. of Canisteo; Caroline's only daughter Sarah B. Putman with whom she made her home; 2 step sons, Shane and Brandon Putman; Sister Gloria (Phil) Warren of Barrington, NY, a brother Harry (Mary) Donelson Jr. of Texas; her good friend and father of the children Kelvin L.
