Obituary of William Russell LaBarr Jr.

William Russell LaBarr Jr. Keuka Park: William Russell LaBarr Jr.; age 77, of Keuka Park, NY died Wednesday November 24, 2021 at Geneva General Hospital. There are no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 5) at the Good Samaritan Baptist Church 54 Main St. Dresden, NY 14441, officiated by Pastor Ed Rice; and may be viewed live at https://www.facebook.com/GSBaptistChurch/. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Baptist Church William was born January 10, 1944, in Penn Yan, NY, the son of the late William R. and Jennie M. (Smith) LaBarr, Sr.. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 -63. A resident of Yates County for most of his life, having spent a short time in the State of Maine and the Larrabee Farm, and where he received his salvation. He was a member of the Good Samaritan Baptist Church in Dresden. On June 26, 1999 he married Jacalyn Jensen. His diversified working career included the former Michael Stearns Clothing, and The Birkett Mills, in Penn Yan. He is loved and will be dearly missed by wife Jackie, mother Jennie of Dresden, Son Mitchell (Julie) LaBarr of Hall; stepchildren, Lora (Stephen) Riffle, Nadine Catlin, Fred Longwell, Christian Horton, Lori Beth (Bradley) Lawrence; Nine grandchildren Zackary M. LaBarr, Joshua LaBarr, Kyle Riffle, Colton Riffle, Kelly Blauvelt, Brianna Longwell, Kathy Lawrence, Rebecca Lawrence, and Reanna Lawrence. Bill is also survived by siblings Lyle (E. Karen) LaBarr, Sr. of Dundee, Bruce A. LaBarr of Douglas, Az, Alonzo (Pamela) LaBarr of Himrod, Yvonne Thomas of Dundee, and Carolyn Ames of Dresden. He has left behind several nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his father William R. LaBarr Sr., brother Leon E. LaBarr, sister Luana LaBarr, and nephew Daryl Parkhurst.
