Obituary of Sharon Mae Hill

Sharon Mae Hill Dundee: Sharon Mae Hill, age 80, of Dundee, NY passed away Sunday April 24, 2022 at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY, surrounded by family. There will be a private memorial service with Deacon Carl Clark officiating. The family will receive friends at a Celebration of Her Life starting at 2:00 pm. Sunday, May 1st, at the Dundee American Legion 10 Spring St. Dundee, NY. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family at a later date in Hillside Cemetery, in Dundee. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, 12 Union St. Dundee, NY 14837. Sharon was born July 20, 1941 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of Clayton and Marian (Wingate) Woodard. She Graduated from Dundee Central School in 1960. On June 4, 1960 in Second Milo she married the love of her life, James E. Hill. She was employed by Seneca Foods, in Dundee, for 22 years, retiring in 1998. Sharon started in production and finished as the Receiving Clerk when she retired. She enjoyed going to church dinners, dancing on Saturday nights at the Moose and Legion in Penn Yan, NY. She also adored going to the Windmill and getting her fudge on Saturdays in the summer. Sharon was known to greet everyone with a smile, hug and a big kiss leaving you with lipstick marks on your cheek. Her family meant the world to her. Sharon is survived, loved and will be forever missed by her husband of nearly 62 years, Jim Hill. As well as; son Michael (Sandy) Hill of Dundee; daughter Melody (Alfred) Clark of Buchanan, VA; sister Sandy (Harold) Stewart of Maitland, FL; grandchildren, Amanda (Nicholas) Hurlburt, Andrew Clark, Madison Hill and Hunter Hill; Great-granddaughter, Paislee Hurlburt; along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Paul Woodard in 2001.
