Obituary of Ernest John Hall

Ernest John ''Ernie'' Hall Geneva/Himrod: Ernest John ''Ernie'' Hall, age 57, of Geneva, NY formerly of Himrod, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday June 1, 2022 at home. There are no prior calling hours. A graveside inurnment service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on June 11, 2022, at Second Milo Cemetery, Second Milo Rd., Penn Yan, NY; with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating. A celebration of life will be held at a later date as agreed upon by the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society Of Yates County, P.O. Box 12, Penn Yan, NY 14527. Ernie was born March 15, 1965 in Penn Yan, NY, a son of the late William L. and Eunice M. (Westfall) Hall. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1984. He was employed for many years by various vineyards. He was an avid sportsman, who loved to hunt, and fish beginning at a very young age and loved to teach and mentor his nephews to pass along the family enjoyment of the sport. He is survived by his lifetime partner and love of his life Beverly Hefner and her daughter Carla Hefner; 4 sisters Sharon E. Swarts of Penn Yan, Robin A. Hall of Himrod, Susan M. Hilliard of Lindley, Rhonda J. (Glenn) Litchfield also of Dundee; 2 brothers Robert K. (Mary) Cummings of Dundee, Richard J. (Terry) Cummings of Indianapolis, IN; countless nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Arrangement entrusted to the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee.
