Obituary of Ehman Duger Reed

Ehman D. Reed Dundee: Ehman Duger Reed, age 65, of Dundee, NY passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday June 22, 2022 at home. There are no prior calling hours. A Celebration of His Life will be held from 1:00 – 8:00 pm Saturday July 2, 2022 at the Dundee V.F.W. Seneca St. Ext. Dundee, NY. Ehman was born May 14, 1957 in Montour Falls, NY, the first son of the late Charles Harold Reed and Sarah Louise Green Reed. He graduated from Dundee Central School. Having never married; Ehman never left the family farm. Over the years he has worked for many area farms, and vineyards to help support his family. A quiet simple man who respected the values instilled in him by his mother, he treasured the families land and the legacy behind it. He loved nature, and all of God's creation, and creatures. He worked tirelessly cutting firewood for sale and for heat. He loved wood working and building things with his hands. He enjoyed hunting, and conservation. He especially loved his brothers and being their rock and patriarch. He will be dearly missed by his two younger brothers, Charles "Chuck" Reed, and Lucas M. Reed both at home; 2 sisters Elizabeth Howland of Corning, NY, and Alta M. (Robert) Bassett of Dundee; along with many dear nieces and nephews.
