Such wonderful times we had with the Wolverton family. Dick was one of the first persons I met when I started working at Ingersoll-Rand Co. in June of 1960. Pat and my wife, both being nurses, were best of friends. Since Pat taught Nursing courses at Corning Community College, I will make a donation in her name to their Nursing Program. Ed Reif

My last conversation with you was the Sunday (in worship) before you passed. We spoke of a favorite book of mine and you wrote it down because you wanted to share it with your granddaughter- It was called The Sabbath by Abraham Joshua Heschel and you wanted to read it. We also spoke about Challah- another favorite of mine too. It was a lovely conversation to have -speaking on the idea of rest and how Heschel's daughter Susanna wrote so beautifully about their Sabbath growing up in the prologue of the book. How lovely to ponder those words now-and a lovely memory with you.

I am so saddened and sorry to hear of your loss. I was blessed to have known and provided primary care to both Pat and Dick here in Corning. They were such a wonderful couple and genuinely considerate patients. Pat was a wonderful nurse and a true patient advocate. She always seemed to be at the Corning Hospital during my early years in practice. She was so kind and even keeled. She always seemed to take things 'in stride', regardless of the intensity of the situation. Having those skills as a nurse is both rare and notable. Please know that I am sending hugs of condolences. It was a privilege to have known them both. Russ Woglom MD

Pat and I were initially neighbors living on First Street in Corning. We went to School 3 together. Then my family moved to South Corning. In 8th grade we were united again at CFA where we played in the CFA band.
Pat held the co-ed parties where I learned "spin the bottle" game. That was pretty exciting in those days and Pat would just chuckle at me.
We were on Girl Scouts together. I will try to attach a picture.
Pat was always the mature, both feet on the ground, gal. I miss her. Our lives have been apart since I left for SU to go to college where I met my spouse of 65 years. I loved seeing her at class reunions.
My sincere condolences to all of her family. I will send a copy of the obituary to the CFA class members who are still alive.
