Obituary of Lilah C. Newton

Lilah C. Newton Dundee: Lilah C. Newton, age 62 of Dundee, New York, passed away peacefully at F.F Thompson hospital on January 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Friends and family are invited to a service of remembrance to honor Lilah's life at 11:30 am Saturday April 26, 2025 at the Lakemont Congregational Christian Church, Lakemont-Himrod Rd., Lakemont, NY with Lay Speaker Judy Duquette officiating. Inurnment will be private in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee, N.Y. Lilah proudly served in the United States Navy and was known for her love of animals, crocheting, and the time she spent with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her for her kindness, warmth, and dedication to her loved ones. She is survived by her children: Michael (Stefanie) Furlong of Macedon, Crystal (Jared) Hamm of Penn Yan, and Matthew (Terra) Newton of Canandaigua. Lilah is also survived by her mother Beverly Harrington of Penn Yan, her brothers Nelson (Maureen) Bailey of Virginia and Stephen Bailey of Canajoharie, as well as her cherished grandchildren: Emma, Jackson, Harper, Cameron, Grayson, Caton and Levi; as well as cousins, nieces and a nephew. Lilah was the grandchild of the late Charles and Lilah Roof of Dundee and was also predeceased by her stepfather Gerald Harrington and her aunt Grace Marusarz.
